On 27 September 2021, the Minister for Family Affairs and Integration, Corinne Cahen, participated in the opening of the "Eisknippchen" as assisted living facility for the elderly in Weidingen/Wiltz.
Assisted living facilities, as defined by the legal framework, is a group of dwellings made available for sale, rent, or in any other way, together with the provision of assistance and/or care.
This third assisted living facility by operator Päiperleck is located in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes and has 97 rooms/studios available for rent with a total of 125 beds.
During her speech, the minister congratulated Päiperleck and the municipality of Wiltz on the opening of the new "Eisknippchen" residence, thus responding to the growing demand for housing for the elderly.
