AMIF co-financed projects

The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2021-2027 is created by the Regulation (EU) 2021/1147 of the European Parliament and of the Council on July 7 2021.

The general objective of the Fund is to contribute to the effective management of migration flows and to the implementation, strengthening and development of common policy on asylum, subsidiary protection and temporary protection and the common immigration policy, while fully respecting the rights and principles enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

In Luxembourg, the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the managing authority for the implementation of the AMIF. The Department of Integration of the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region is the intermediary body.

The Department of Integration is responsible for the implementation of actions related to the integration of third-country nationals foreseen in the national programme under the specific objective 2 "Integration and legal migration".
